…We as practicing architects in Maharashtra region feel very concerned about the development that is taking place on hills. Every individual loves to travel to faraway destinations to visit hill stations and mountain ranges laden with lovely waterfalls and rivulets. One attains peace of mind there, but only at the cost of time and money. Here in Maharashtra we already are blessed with so many topographical ranges, which are being mercilessly exploited to a great extent.
…Some hilly terrain sites which can be developed to some extent should be developed in a rustic manner using all the local materials, and the native flora and fauna, in a manner in which it will blend with the natural habitat and surroundings.
